Elegant String Quartet Sicily

This classical string quartet, established in 1990, features all string family instruments: violin, viola, cello, and double bass, and is composed of musicians trained at the Conservatory of Music "V. Bellini" in Palermo.

The group is renowned for its unique stylistic and interpretive versatility, with the ability to perform a variety of musical genres including classical, contemporary, light jazz standards, and film scores.

The ensemble has a special focus on 20th-century composers such as A. Piazzolla, K. Jenkins, R. Sakamoto, E. Morricone, F. Lai, and B. Bacharach. They also appreciate "light music" composers like AC Jobim, J. Lennon, S. Wonder, and C. Baglioni, attracting a broad audience.

In November 2000, the Ensemble collaborated with harpist and violinist Julia Cunningham Rrok Jakaj on her Canada Tour, performing in esteemed venues such as "Phillip T. Young Recital Hall" at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Victoria, and the Theatre of Nelson.
