Elegant String Quartet Sicily

This classical string quartet was founded in 1990 includes all of the string family (violin, viola, cello and double bass) and consisting of musicians who have trained at the Conservatory music "V. Bellini "of Palermo.

The group is distinguished by its stylistic and interpretive flexibility that makes it unique, it has the ability to deal with familiar and different musical genres (classical, contemporary, light jazz standards and music from movies.

The ensemble has a particular interest in the composers of the twentieth century, such as A. Piazzolla, K. Jenkins, R. Sakamoto, E. Morricone, F. Lai, B. Bacharach, preferring even the authors of "light music" as, AC Jobim, J. Lennon, S. Wonder and C. Baglioni, in order to gain a wide range of audience.

In November 2000 the Ensemble supported the harpist and violinist Julia Cunningham Rrok Jakaj, on her Canada Tour, playing in prestigious theaters, the auditorium as "Phillip T. Young Recital Hall "of the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Victoria and the Theatre of Nelson.
