Harp Orchestra Como

Harp Orchestra Como was founded in 2002 by one of the most esteemed modern harpists globally and is now recognized as the largest Celtic harp orchestra in Europe.

The Harp Orchestra is a musical ensemble primarily featuring lever harps, also known as Celtic harps, along with other instruments such as cello, violin, flute, accordion, guitar, bass, drums, soprano voice, and choir. The musicians, aged between 17 and 60 years, form a distinctive and harmonious group. In total, the ensemble includes 16 harpists, 12 of whom are women.

In their early days, the Orchestra’s repertoire consisted mainly of ancient melodies and traditional Irish music. Today, it covers an extensive range of music. Unique techniques, combined with a mix of Celtic, Classical, and South American genres, give the orchestra’s music a wide array of new colors. Original compositions and tunes ranging from Ancient Music, Flamenco, and Celtic to Ethnic melodies are all rearranged to captivate the modern audience in an entertaining and engaging manner.

The Celtic Harp Orchestra has performed numerous concerts in Italy, including at the Duomo Cathedral of Milan and Teatro Sociale of Como, and internationally with performances in Spain, Switzerland, France, Ireland, Greece, Germany, Britain, China, Japan, and Korea.

The Orchestra has collaborated with renowned artists and personalities such as Andrea Bocelli, Tadao Ando, and Carlos Nunez, and has also appeared on major TV channels like RAI, Swiss television RTSI, and Chinese State TV CCTV3.

They are available for a wide range of events and are sure to add a truly magical touch and atmosphere to your occasion.
