New Orleans Brass Band

Formed in 2008 with a passion to create music that resonates with both the feet and the ears, this unique brass band features trumpets, trombones, saxes, sousaphone, and marching percussion. Based in East London, the band is fully acoustic and yet capable of energizing any venue.

The brass band's members come from incredibly diverse musical backgrounds, ranging from cutting-edge jazz groups to the Royal Opera House, and from collaborations with Jarvis Cocker to major international orchestras.

This wide range of musical talent is evident in their eclectic repertoire, blending elements of funk, hip-hop, and rock with touches of Balkan brass, ska, and contemporary jazz.

The band has performed sold-out headline shows at prestigious venues like the Jazz Café (including an unforgettable impromptu jam with Amy Winehouse), Scala, The Garage, Hootenanny, and many more top London locations. They have supported US brass stars Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and renowned British musician Jamie Cullum at the Roundhouse, headlined the Durham International Brass Festival and Manchester International Jazz Festival, and toured Kosovo, Slovenia, Montenegro, Holland, Germany, and Ireland, as well as performing at the London Olympics closing ceremony.

By bringing the tradition of mobile marching bands into the 21st century, the band stays true to its roots. No matter the venue or event, you can always expect high-energy, feel-good music that will make you want to move.
