Virtual Poet
FAQs
1. How does it work?
This is a live-streamed experience via Zoom. However, other video conferencing platforms can also be used. Our Virtual Poet will introduce themselves and explain the typewriter they will be using. Participants will then suggest themes that will be used to create their personalized poem in real-time. After typing the poem on the vintage typewriter, the poet will read it aloud.
2. How will recipients receive their poem?
Poems are emailed to clients or participants directly after the session. Hard copies can be mailed for an additional fee, which must be arranged beforehand.
3. How long is each session?
The length of our Virtual Poet's online sessions depends on the group's size. Allocate 5-10 minutes per person. For optimal engagement, we suggest either one 60-minute session.
4. How many people can take part?
Since it takes 5-10 minutes per person, we recommend a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 people per session.
5. Do guests need anything to be able to participate?
No, but it's worth encouraging attendees to think of potential themes in advance.
6. Is this interactive?
Absolutely! Our Virtual Poet needs guests to share their suggestions and stories to create each poem.
7. How can this experience be customized?
The poems are unique to each attendee, but they can be printed on stationery branded with a company logo. This needs to be arranged and confirmed at least 3 weeks before the event. Alternatively, instead of a virtual live-stream, custom poems can be posted or emailed to recipients as gifts. Our Virtual Poet can also host an online poetry writing class!
