Virtual Poet
FAQs
1. How does it work?
This is a live-streamed experience via Zoom, but other video conferencing options are available. Our Virtual Poet will introduce themselves and explain how they'll use the typewriter in front of them. Then, our Virtual Poet will ask participants to suggest themes to create their personalized and original poem in real-time. After typing the poem on the vintage typewriter, our poet will read it aloud.
2. How will recipients receive their poem?
Poems are emailed to clients or participants directly after the session, and hard copies can be mailed for an additional fee. This must be arranged in advance.
3. How long is each session?
The length of our Virtual Poet's online sessions varies based on the group size. Please allow 5-10 minutes per person. For the best experience, we recommend a 60-minute session.
4. How many people can take part?
Since it takes 5-10 minutes per person, we suggest a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 people per session.
5. Do guests need anything to be able to participate?
No, but it may be helpful to encourage attendees to think of theme ideas beforehand.
6. Is this interactive?
Absolutely! Our Virtual Poet needs guests to contribute their suggestions and stories to create each poem.
7. How can this experience be customized?
The poems are unique to each person, but they can be produced on stationery branded with a company logo. This must be arranged and confirmed at least 3 weeks prior to the event. Alternatively, instead of a virtual live-streamed experience, custom poems can be mailed or emailed to recipients as a gift. Additionally, our Virtual Poet can host an online poetry writing class!
