Virtual Chinese Tea Tasting
FAQs
1. What can I expect from Virtual Chinese Tea Tasting?
Enjoy an engaging and educational experience with a top tea specialist. Our online tea tasting class is an introduction to the art of preparing and pouring different Chinese tea varieties. Expect an introduction to 6 categories of tea - green, white, yellow, oolong, black and dark tea.
After selecting one tea (5g) for tasting, guests will guess which category the tea belongs to and share their thoughts with the group to build a tasting profile. Our tea master will demonstrate how to brew the tea and encourage guests to follow suit.
Online guests will also be shown photographs of the tea garden where the tea is grown, maps of the locations and learn the key steps in tea manufacture. Our knowledgable host will also discuss the history and health benefits of the teas and advise which tea to drink according to season and time of day.
