Liu Wei - Armless Pianist
Liu Wei, a winner of China’s Got Talent, captivated the nation with his remarkable skills as a foot pianist. After receiving a standing ovation during his debut performance on the show, this inspirational musician went on to win the competition.
At the age of 10, Liu Wei lost both of his arms in a tragic accident. Prior to his victory on China’s Got Talent, he was unaware of his talent for playing the piano with his feet. Initially, he pursued swimming and won two gold and one silver medals at the National Swimming Championship for the Disabled but could not continue that career. He also holds a Guinness World Record for typing the most letters alphabetically in 1 minute using his feet.
Liu Wei later took up the piano and amazed the world with his extraordinary talent, proving that a disability does not have to limit one's potential. The foot pianist is available to perform at events globally, showcasing his unique skills. His repertoire includes songs like The Butterfly Lovers, Mariage D'amour, You're Beautiful, The Price of Love, Secret Garden, and Symbol of Dream.
Since winning China’s Got Talent, Liu Wei has performed at the closing ceremony of the Shanghai Expo, China’s 8th National Games for the Disabled, onboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise, at the 40th Anniversary of Austria-China Diplomatic Relationship at the Golden Hall in Vienna, and featured in a Nike commercial.
Liu Wei, an inspirational musician and disability advocate, is available to share his remarkable life story and perform for your guests at your event.
