Liu Wei - Armless Pianist
Liu Wei is a winner of China’s Got Talent who wowed the nation with his skills as a foot pianist. After receiving a standing ovation at his first performance on the show, this inspirational musician went on to win the competition.
Having lost both his arms at the age of 10 in a freak accident, and before winning China’s Got Talent, the armless pianist didn’t know he had a talent for playing the piano with his feet. Initially taking up swimming, he won two gold and one silver medals at the National Swimming Championship for the Disabled but couldn't continue this career path. He also holds a Guinness World Record for typing the most letters alphabetically in one minute using his feet.
Liu Wei later took up piano and amazed the world as a truly inspirational musician, demonstrating that having a disability doesn’t have to hold you back. The foot pianist is available for events globally, showcasing his unique skill. Songs in his repertoire include The Butterfly Lovers, Mariage D'amour, You're Beautiful, The Price of Love, Secret Garden, and Symbol Of Dream.
Since winning China’s Got Talent, Liu Wei, the armless pianist, has performed at the closing ceremony of the Shanghai Expo, China’s 8th National Games for the Disabled, onboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise, the 40th Anniversary of Austria-China Diplomatic Relations at the Golden Hall in Vienna, and has been featured in a Nike commercial.
Liu Wei, an inspirational musician and disability advocate, will happily share his life story at your event as well as perform for your guests.
