Celebrity Virtual Asian Cooking
FAQs
Can you describe your Virtual Show in detail, including a five-minute breakdown?
Join an Emmy-nominated and award-winning TV chef and cookery author for a private cook-along online class. Guests will learn how to cook two Asian dishes. She will share easy, delicious recipes that will impress your guests when entertaining at home. The cook-along begins with Ching introducing herself and sharing her journey into cooking. She will then introduce the recipes she will be preparing. She starts with the first recipe, goes through the ingredients, and ensures everyone is ready. The recipe is prepared step by step. Guests can ask questions while cooking, and Ching will discuss the recipes and ingredients, their significance, and health benefits. She will also share cooking tips from her career. The class will conclude with guests tasting their dishes and providing feedback before the session ends. Please note the class cannot be recorded.
Can your show be customized? What is the lead time required?
The cook-along can be tailored for different cooking levels, dietary requirements (e.g., vegan, vegetarian), and occasions, such as simple dishes, sharing plates, celebratory recipes, or dumplings. We request a lead time of seven days for customization.
Do you offer both pre-recorded and live-streamed shows? If so, how long do you need to create a pre-recorded video?
Our chef can offer both pre-recorded and live-streamed classes, but pre-recorded sessions can only be viewed once (with code activation for single use). It takes half a day for setup, including food preparation, and requires five days' notice to prepare the content. The class duration is 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the level of the class, usually covering two dishes, 15 minutes of Q & A, and 15 minutes for possible overruns.
Where is your show set up? Do you have a professional studio setup?
The class is broadcast from the host's home kitchen, which is regularly used for TV cooking and online classes. Filming is done using a laptop camera.
What levels of interaction are available with live audiences? How does this work?
Guests are guided through the cooking process, cooking along with her and asking questions as the dishes are prepared. Smaller groups are more intimate and allow for better interaction between the chef and the clients. It is fully interactive.
What platform do you prefer for your Virtual Show? What other platforms have you used?
Zoom works well but can be flexible based on the group's needs. However, it must be a closed platform available only to paying clients.
Do you have a technician to assist with the setup of your virtual show?
We haven't faced technical difficulties in the past, but our cook's husband is very tech-savvy and can assist if needed.
How long is your virtual show?
The class duration depends on the clients' cooking ability and the number of dishes, but it is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
Do guests need anything to participate?
They will need the ingredients for the recipes, which can be sent in advance for them to order. They will also need a wok, a chopping board, and basic cooking utensils. Guests receive a signed copy of our celebrity chef's latest book and 20 pre-recorded cookery classes to master favorite Asian plant-based dishes.
Is there a minimum and maximum number of attendees that can participate in the show?
A minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 30 people.
Are there any platforms that are not compatible with your act or that you prefer not to use?
No, but we require it to be a closed group, and we need to know the team in advance.
