Celebrity Virtual Asian Cooking
FAQs
Can you describe your Virtual Show in detail for each five-minute segment?
Join an Emmy-nominated, award-winning TV chef and cookbook author for an exclusive online cook-along class. Guests will learn how to prepare two Asian dishes. She will create easy, delicious recipes that will impress your guests when you entertain at home. The session begins with Ching introducing herself and sharing her journey into cooking. She will then introduce the recipes she will prepare. The first recipe starts with an overview of the ingredients to ensure everyone is ready. The recipe is then made step by step. Participants can ask questions while cooking, and Ching will discuss the recipes, ingredients, their significance, and health benefits. She’ll also share cooking tips she has learned throughout her career. The class concludes with participants tasting their dishes and providing feedback before the session ends, so they can savor the results of their efforts. Please note that the class cannot be recorded.
Can your show be customized? What is the lead time required for customization?
The cook-along can easily be tailored based on cooking skill levels, dietary requirements (e.g., vegan, vegetarian), and occasions, featuring simple dishes, shareable plates, celebratory recipes, or dumplings. A lead time of seven days is required for customization.
Do you offer both pre-recorded and live-streamed shows? If so, how long do you need to create a pre-recorded video?
Our chef offers both pre-recorded and live-streamed classes. However, pre-recorded classes can only be viewed once (with a code to limit usage). It takes half a day to set up, including food prep, and we require five days' notice to prepare and create the content. The class duration ranges from 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the class level, and typically includes two dishes, 15 minutes for Q&A, plus an extra 15 minutes if needed.
Where is your show set up—do you have a professional studio?
The class is broadcast from the host's home kitchen, which is regularly used for TV cooking and online classes. Filming is done using a laptop camera.
What levels of interaction are there with live audiences? How does it work?
Guests are guided through the cooking process, cooking along with her and asking questions as the dishes are prepared. Smaller groups provide a more intimate setting and allow for greater interaction between the chef and participants. It’s fully interactive.
What platform do you prefer for your Virtual Show? What other platforms have you used?
Zoom works best but we can be flexible based on the group's needs. The platform must be closed and only accessible to paying clients.
Do you have a technician to help with the setup of your virtual show?
We haven’t experienced technical difficulties before, but our cook's husband is very tech-savvy and can assist if needed.
How long is your virtual show?
The class duration depends on the participants' cooking skills and the number of dishes, but it typically lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Do guests need anything to participate?
They will need the ingredients, which can be sent ahead of time so they can order them. Basic cooking utensils, a wok, and a chopping board are also needed. Guests receive a signed copy of our celebrity chef's latest book and 20 pre-recorded cookery classes to master favorite Asian plant-based dishes.
Is there a minimum and maximum number of attendees?
A minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 30 people can participate.
Are there any platforms that are not compatible with your act or that you prefer not to work on?
No, but we require it to be a closed group, and we need to know the team in advance.
