Harpist & Soprano Siona
Harpist & Soprano Siona studied both Harp and Voice at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where she earned a Distinction in her Master's Degree. She then continued her studies at the Royal College of Music in London, receiving a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance.
Siona is a highly experienced musician who has played the harp at Church and Civil wedding ceremonies, private functions, corporate events, and public recitals since 1996. She is also an established soprano soloist, performing on both concert stages and theater platforms. She has performed for a wide variety of audiences across the UK and internationally.
Siona performs a diverse range of styles on the harp, from the Baroque period to contemporary pieces, and is always open to discussing music choices with her clients. She typically plays a mix of light Classical pieces, traditional Welsh and Irish melodies, and more modern selections based on her clients’ preferences.
Currently, Siona is based in the West Country and London and is happy to travel nationwide for your event.
Wedding Ceremonies
The soothing tones of the harp can create a truly magical atmosphere at your wedding, whether you choose a Church or civil ceremony.
Having a solo singer at your wedding can add a traditional touch to your ceremony. As Siona is also a trained classical singer, she is the perfect artist to enhance your wedding celebrations. While she doesn't sing while playing the harp, Siona is happy to include any separate vocal pieces you might need.
Why not have her sing and then play, showcasing both of her talents on your special day!
Drinks Receptions
Drinks receptions are often the time when photographers capture your day on film, but it can be a long period for guests with nothing to do but sip champagne! Romantic harp music can create a welcoming ambiance for your guests while you are otherwise occupied.
Wedding Breakfasts
A blend of musical styles played on the harp can add a unique touch to your meal. The beautiful sound of the harp is unobtrusive to conversations but still provides an ambient backdrop that can be heard over a large gathering.
Special Occasions
The romantic sound of the harp can add elegance and class to any special occasion. Siona has played background music for many such events, including Wedding anniversaries, Birthday parties, Christenings, Garden parties, Celebratory Dinners, Balls, and Valentine's events.
Corporate Events
Harp background music is a popular choice for businesses looking to create a relaxed and ambient atmosphere for their clients. Siona can provide music for official openings, business dinners, and functions, and can also play a selection of seasonal Christmas music ideal for holiday events.
For something a bit different, why not have Siona sing for a pre- or post-dinner concert? She currently offers a varied program of Opera and Cabaret favorites, from Puccini to Gershwin, and can provide her own accompanist.
