Arabic Percussion Player
Born in Germany to Palestinian parents, Percussion Player Simona later moved to Denmark where she became the first professional female musician of Arabic descent.
Self-taught in percussion since the age of 15, this determined and tenacious woman is making waves in the world music scene, having performed at numerous international music festivals around the globe.
An accomplished percussionist who can play a wide range of instruments, her favorite is the Daburka - a traditional goblet-shaped Arabic drum. With it, she creates soulful beats that have become her signature. She has toured successfully in Europe, Asia, Africa, USA, India, and Scandinavia, collaborating with top artists like Natacha Atlas, Donna Cadogan, Aura Dione, Danish Rocklegends, and Casper Christiansen.
Percussion Player Simona draws inspiration from a variety of musical genres including house, electronic, pop ambient, oriental, and world music. A gifted artist who has traveled the world for her talent, Arabic Percussionist Player is perfect for corporate events, solo shows, club parties, and both vocal and instrumental concerts.
