Comedian Kevin Day
Kevin Day is a stand-up comedian and a 2016 BAFTA nominee in the Television Craft category. Kevin toured as a stand-up comedian back in the '90s and returned to the scene in 2014 with popular and well-received shows 'Standy-Uppy' and 'Hairline'.
After leaving his career as a Human Resource manager for a future in comedy, he never looked back. In 2016, he became the first stand-up comedian to perform a show in the Tower of London.
His background as a comedian and former HR manager equips him to entertain audiences as a presenter or award host at corporate events.
A big sports fan, his hosting credits include BBC2's Match of the Day 2, and his voice can be frequently heard on Radio 4. He was also part of BBC5 Live's coverage of the Cheltenham Festival, which won the Sony Gold Award. He's received the Time Out Comedy Award, a Writers' Guild Award (for his work with Dave Allen), and the one he's most proud of, the 2007 ProMax Award for Best Interstitials for a series of Christmas promos on More4 featuring a very grumpy Santa.
He's written scripts for several TV comedy shows including They Think It's All Over, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Have I Got News For You, and A League Of Their Own. Other scriptwriting credentials include Strictly Come Dancing, The Graham Norton Show, BBC Sports Personality of the Year, and Children in Need.
Kevin Day's career includes a theatrical background, co-writing A History of the Old Vic with Kevin Spacey, and directing Arthur Smith's Dante's Inferno.
He has experience hosting award ceremonies, including events like The Croydon Business Excellence Awards, and is a popular choice for hosting corporate and sports awards and events. He's the perfect choice for a range of occasions including after-dinner entertainment, awards hosting, stand-up comedy, and more.
