Located at the heart of Europe’s club central, Ibiza-born Djamal developed a unique taste for electronic music after early exposure to the prolific figures headlining the party island’s most renowned events.

Nearly a year before the first decade of the new millennium, Djamal immersed himself in some of Ibiza’s hottest spots including Amnesia, Privilege, DC10, and Space. He seized the moment by expanding his music collection to headline a debut gig at the lavishly themed venue 'Bazaar' on Ibiza at just 15 years old.

Since then, Djamal has been an active DJ and music producer in the Psychedelic Trance scene under his alias 'DJamal'. At the same time, he developed a deep affinity and natural talent for underground Tech House, Deep House & Techno, leading him to launch a new project in late 2014 under the fresh name 'O-BE'.

This project aims to take the audience on a musical journey with underground deep and tech sounds, inducing an 'Out of Body Experience,' encouraging people to 'BE' in a state of pure consciousness, fully present in the moment. O-BE’s music should be experienced at its fullest potential by disregarding the mind and focusing entirely on the heart and soul.

Since his move to Amsterdam in the Netherlands, O-BE has been making a notable name in the electronic music scene, receiving loud acclaim from dedicated crowds, seasoned producers, and fellow DJs alike, placing him at the forefront of Europe’s young rising elite. Performing at various venues and events like Cafe Batavia, Akhnaton, Korsakoff, CUE Bar, Sugarfactory, Studio 80, Ruigoord, Club Up, Chicago Social Club, In The Clouds Festival 2014, Lief Festival 2014, and HRFST Festival 2014, he has played alongside noted names like Michel de Hey, Mathias Kaden, Einmusik, and many more.

With the Amsterdam-based SAE Institute known for nurturing some of the world’s most promising talents in the music industry, Djamal has honed his skills in Audio Engineering and is currently working on several upcoming productions set to be released soon.

During the winter months of 2014/15, O-BE actively performed in Goa, India at some of the biggest venues and highly acclaimed events like: Soma Project, Katzensuppe, Chronicles, Techno Tales, Cafe Lilliput, Baxters, Secret Garden Beach Festival, and Hill Top, sharing the stage with prominent artists like Steve Rachmad and many more.

Additionally, O-BE is part of the ‘International Acts - Ibiza Sound Agency’ artist selection and is available for bookings.

For the upcoming summer season of 2015, O-BE will be back on Ibiza, performing at the island's most popular venues and events.
