Mezzo Soprano Alison

Lighting up the stage with every performance, Mezzo Soprano Alison is a graduate from the Royal College of Music’s Opera course and winner of the AsLiCo Young European Opera Singers’ Competition.

A multi-award-winning performer, she's been part of many wildly successful performances, including becoming a finalist for the Kathleen Ferrier Award and receiving multiple scholarships from the Peter Moores music foundation, Ian Fleming Award, and Sacher Scholarship.

Some of her biggest musical projects include singing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Northern Sinfonia, London Mozart Players, English Chamber Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, OSJ, and Halle Orchestra. These performances were also broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and released on CD.

Alison has performed most of the standard oratorio repertoire for mezzo throughout the country, from parish churches to concert halls and cathedrals. Her most frequently performed pieces include Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius, Verdi Requiem, Mendelssohn's Elijah, and Handel's Messiah.

She has sung the Angel in Gerontius from Aberdeen in the north to Exeter in the south and considers it one of her favorite works. She also adores Bach, having performed both the St John and St Matthew Passions and the Christmas Oratorio and B Minor Mass on numerous occasions.

Alison has a passion for vintage musical theater, from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, and Noel Coward. She enjoys lightening her voice to fit this repertoire and found great success at Cadogan Hall when she performed as a guest soloist in a concert dedicated entirely to Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Mezzo Soprano Alison not only lights up the stage when she appears but also spreads infectious enthusiasm at any event.
