Glaswegian Rikki Loney appeared on the 2009 X Factor show, making it to the final 12, where he sang live to an audience of 14 million.

Rikki had previously auditioned in seasons 1, 2, and 5, reaching the Boot camp stage in season 5, where he was heartbroken to be cut at the final 50 stage. Over the next year, he performed at many corporate and private events to gain as much experience as possible. His returning audition was praised by Louis Walsh as "Even better this year; you have the X Factor for me."
