Glaswegian Rikki Loney appeared on the 2009 X Factor show making it all the way to the final 12, where he sung on the live shows to a viewing audience of 14 million.

Rikki had previously auditioned in series 1, 2 and 5. In series 5 he reached Boot camp stage but was devastated to be culled at the final 50 stage. Over the next year he performed at many corporate and private events to gain as much experience as possible.  His returning audition was described by Louis Walsh as "Even better this year, you have the X Factor for me".
