BOOKING A WALKING TOUR
What are the benefits of a walking tour?
Private walking tours are a brilliant way to see any city, and explore hidden streets whilst learning long lost stories about the cultural history of capital cities across the world. Being on foot, your group will avoid all threats of traffic or faulty vehicles, and can get up close to famous landmarks and attractions. As you wander, take photos and chat to colleagues you’ll share a unique experience and create some fond memories. The relaxed and informal style of many of our alternative walking tours allows participants to get to know each other whilst learning insightful facts and stories, creating a fun atmosphere and promote positive relationships between colleagues.
What type of walking tours are available?
We have plenty of guided walking tours that will give you and your group a historical and cultural insight into the past of popular cities, but we also have a great variety of walking food and drink tours, street art tours and unique, alternative tours such as our Opera Garnier Tour or our VIP Eiffel Tower Tour.
What will my group get out of a guided walking tour?
Group walking tours are a great opportunity to inspire colleagues as an incentive treat or corporate reward trip. A different activity that will take your team out of the office; whether your tour is local and close to home or a brand new location, it’s sure to enlighten your group on unknown and often surprising facts, whilst allowing participants to get to know each other and strengthen working relationships. A walking tour is especially ideal if you want to mix teams up with people who don’t normally get to interact with each other on a day to day basis.
Walking tours are also one of the best ways to explore a city or new destination; participants are able to see specific sites that have historical and cultural significance, learning interesting facts whilst strengthening working relationships.
What is required as a participant of a walking tour?
One of the benefits of a walking tour is that you don’t need to provide any equipment or a specific venue; simply get your group to a prearranged meeting point and let one of our multilingual tour guides to look after everything else. If you require transfers to the agreed meeting point, we can help book any travel requirements. Ensure your group are wearing appropriate clothing for the weather, and footwear ideal for roughly one to two hours of walking (depending on which tour you choose). Other than that, make sure you have a camera to capture the beautiful sights and your happy team as they meander through the city.
Does the tour include lunch?
Some of our walking tours will include stops for lunch, and if not, a stop can be arranged on request. Alternatively, we can organise a mobile caterer, whether you’d like some freshly packed lunches or a mobile food van, or a sit-down meal, just let our event team know.
Will the tour be cancelled if it’s raining? The majority of tours will go ahead in damp or wet weather; in severe weather, a tour may be cancelled if it’s unsafe to continue. Some tours may be able to be rescheduled for another date; booking and cancellation terms and conditions will be outlined upon booking.
Can we book a workshop or additional activity to go with the tour?
Absolutely! Some of our group walking tours can follow onto a corporate group workshop straight away, or we can organise a workshop for you, if you are looking for a full day of group activities, just let our events team know your requirements.
How long do corporate tours last?
