Street Drummers

These vibrant street drummers perform in major cities around the world, getting people to dance and smile as they go about their daily routines! Street Drummers are here to entertain, make people stop and laugh, and generally blow you away.

The group began in September 2011 when two friends played at a church fair in the middle of a field for 10 minutes. Just three months later, in December, Street Drummers performed on the streets for the first time in downtown Chelmsford in Essex. They played for nearly two hours, drawing huge crowds, loving every second, and realizing this was their calling.

Since then, Street Drummers have traveled across the UK, performing as far north as Edinburgh and as far south as Southampton, with many stops in between. They use a mix of drums, buckets, funny costumes, and backing tracks to provide the perfect blend of unique street entertainment.

Street Drummers are also proud to make history in their hometown of Colchester, as the first live music act at The Playhouse since the 1970s and the first ever live music performance on the roof at The Bull!

Street Drummers incorporate well-known tracks into their show and, thanks to tweets from spectators, artists like Owl City, Ellie Goulding, and Olly Murs have seen their videos!
