This African percussion and dance group, based in Glasgow, have been performing together for more than 10 years. They play and dance to the fantastic and diverse rhythms and songs of traditional West Africa, mainly from the Mandigue culture. The music is played on Djembe and Dundun drums, along with a variety of other percussion instruments. They create an intriguing mix of rhythms originally used during celebrations such as religious events, harvests, victories, work, and initiation rites. The dance and music are inseparably linked and are a key part of the culture and social structure.
The group's performances deliver a rhythmic and colorful dancing feast that everyone will enjoy!
