Grand Magix is a powerhouse of aerial helium-suspended performance, aerial puppetry, stilt ensemble drumming, specialist fireworks, and giant inflatable puppetry special effects, culminating in a grand musical and emotional climax with the giant aerial light show moon moth.

In essence, it is an artistic celebration of nature versus technology. In 2001, Fiona Ellis in Northern Review's event of the month rated Grand Magix, the finale of the Stockton International Riverside Festival, top equal with Robert Lepage’s Dark Side of the Moon.
