Gypsy Swing

This ensemble is inspired by the lively swing music that came from the notorious Parisian cafes and nightclubs of the 1920s and 1930s.

The band puts on a show that celebrates the romanticism of the finest musettes and waltzes from the French tradition and the blazing excitement of those hot gypsy swing numbers made famous by Django Reinhardt.

With a nod to the American jazz musicians who visited Paris, such as Louis Armstrong and Sidney Bechet, the group features both trumpet and clarinet alongside the timeless two-guitars and double-bass lineup.
