Our jazz vocalist Nicole is one of Chicago’s top jazz singers. She pays tribute to the golden age of jazz standards with her fresh and fun interpretations. If you had to describe Nicole in one word, it would be smoky. Nicole always aims to bring new life to the works of songwriting legends from the '30s and '40s like Gershwin, Mercer, Porter, Berlin, and Hoagy Carmichael. With someone this talented, staying true to these legendary composers, the music sounds as fresh as the day it was written.
Although the Great American Songbook is Nicole’s first love, for the past twelve years she has been performing with Chicago's premier jump blues band. This band’s lively approach and bluesy repertoire has allowed Nicole to add some grit to that smoke.
