New Orleans Jazz
This group is a traditional New Orleans Jazz band featuring a washboard. An explosive blend of classic jazz, delivered with wit, humor, and dynamic energy, the band brings together minds to create incredible interpretations of the most revered repertoires: Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong, Jelly "Roll" Morton, and more...
The band is made up of five cheerful, warm-hearted musicians who connect with their audience, offering swing music played in the tradition of Louisiana's 20s and 30s: that good old New Orleans Jazz that used to get crowds dancing on both sides of the Mississippi River...
The New Orleans Jazz band creates its own musical atmosphere, capable of bursting with swing or traveling back in time to play a melancholic, lazy ballad. With experience playing at many festivals (Coutouvre, Jazz au Fil du Cher, Tournée en Queyras, en Loire Atlantique, Jazz dans le bocage 2006-2008, Nuit du Jazz de Charly, International Jazz Parade de Lyon 2005-2007, Roanne Table Ouverte 2005-2007...) and all the benefits of acoustic music, their interpretation is professional and the emotion you feel is a testament to the musicians' camaraderie.
This New Orleans Jazz band can entertain at receptions, dinners, weddings, cocktails, birthday parties, seminars, conferences, works councils, parades, Christmas markets, private shows, and more. If you love to dance, they can play Stomp, Charleston, Madison... everything that swings!
If you're looking for themed entertainment, the band can recreate the authentic atmosphere of 1920s New Orleans with musicians wearing borsalino or bowler hats, black trousers with suspenders, smart yet bright ties, traditional two-tone shoes, and playing the classic repertoire of the old Jazz bands with famous tunes like “Hello Dolly”, “Oh, When the Saints”, “Dans les Rues d’Antibes”, “Petite Fleur”, etc.
The group plays acoustically and rarely needs sound systems! They can move from place to place - for example, from table to table during a meal. They always adapt to the client's specifications and can perform anywhere in France.
