Performance Artist Ali
Juggling hoops, fire, stilts, aerials—and sometimes all at once—international performance artist Ali creates a captivating dance of joy and wonder. She discovered the hoop in 2006 and has been expanding her movement skill set ever since. Ali's diverse background in tribal fusion belly dance, Balinese dance, and classical Indian Odissi dance, combined with her use of various fire and circus tools, offers many opportunities to share her enchanting performances.
Based in New York, Ali offers a wide array of services, including elaborately costumed stilt walking, hula hooping with 1-7 hoops, programmable LED hula hoops for any theme, fire performances (fire hoop, fire fans, fire belt, fire headdresses, large fire props, etc.), aerial hoop, Tribal Fusion belly dance, Odissi (classical Indian dance), and musical saw playing. She collaborates with numerous artists and has special high-end boutique acts like the Intergalactic LED Stilting Unicorn Trio.
Ali performs at festivals around the world and was featured on “Project Runway” as the winning look on stilts. Her work appears on stage and screen, as well as in the pages of Marie Claire, Juxtapoze Magazine, W Magazine, India Times, Australia’s “Mix” Magazine, Bill Cunningham’s Style Section of the New York Times, and Polyprohoops.com.
