Turkish Whirling Dervishes

Group members are dressed in long, traditional Turkish robes and spin around the stage as they interpret the teachings of the 13th Century Turkish mystic and poet Rumi.

"The Whirling Dervishes" have gained acclaim for their unique dance forms and the accompanying reed flutes, drums, and chants. The program kicks off with a classical Turkish music concert performed by a traditional orchestra.
