UK Vintage DJ
If you’re seeking genuinely authentic vintage entertainment for your event, look no further. This DJ duo owns an impressive collection of over 20,000 78rpm shellac discs, all played on original 1930s gramophones. In excellent condition, their gramophones deliver a rich, intense sound unlike anything you've heard from a modern sound system.
Their collection is nearly a complete history of the best music from the 20th century, spanning the 1900s to the 1960s. This includes 1920s and 1930s jazz, Be-Bop, the big band sound of the 1940s, Skiffle, classic Rat Pack crooners, Rock n’ Roll, female vocalists, and a vast array of Blues. They also have a fantastic collection of vintage Christmas songs and an array of pre-electric recordings from 1895 onwards, featuring WWI songs, spoken word, comedy, music hall, country dancing, brass bands, and quirky sound effect recordings. With such a diverse collection of records, they will have something to fit your tastes and the mood of your event. They can even provide era-specific sets.
They have performed at a wide variety of events, including festivals, weddings, press launches, charity galas, vintage balls, museums, and art galleries, to name just a few! For smaller venues, the gramophones can be used acoustically to create an intimate ambiance, while for larger events, they can be amplified through their state-of-the-art PA system. The rich sound from these vintage gramophones is just as captivating amplified as it is acoustic, ensuring everyone will be up and dancing for hours.
Truly unique, these vintage DJs will transport guests back in time to any era you choose, creating lasting memories and adding a special touch to your event.
