UK Vintage DJ
If you’re looking for truly authentic vintage entertainment for your event, look no further, this DJ duo possess a huge collection of over 20,000 78rpm shellac discs which are played on original 1930’s gramophones. In fantastic condition, their gramophones produce a rich intense sound unlike anything that you will have heard from a modern sound system.
Their collection is almost a complete history of the best music from the 20th century, from the 1900’s to the 1960’s, including: 1920’s and 1930’s jazz era, Be-Bop, the big band sound of the 1940s, Skiffle, classic Rat Pack crooners and Rock n’ Roll, female vocalists and a huge stash of Blues. They also have a great collection of vintage Christmas songs and a hoard of pre-electric recordings from 1895 onwards which includes WWI songs, spoken word, comedy, music hall, country dancing, brass bands and bizarre sound effect recordings! With such a vast collection of records, they will have something to suit your tastes and the tone of your event, and can even provide era specific sets.
They have played at a huge variety of events including festivals, weddings, press launches, charity galas, vintage balls, museums and art galleries to name but a few! For smaller venues, the gramophones can be used acoustically creating an intimate feel, while for larger events the gramophones can be amplified through their state of the art PA system. The rich sound produced by these vintage gramophones sounds just as brilliant amplified as it does acoustic, and will have everyone up and dancing for hours on end.
Truly unique, these vintage DJs will transport guests back in time to any era that you wish, creating lasting memories and adding a special edge to your event.
