Cine Concert String Quartet

An incredibly unique and engaging form of entertainment, our amazing Paris-based string quartet delivers one-of-a-kind cine-concerts where they perform film music alongside silent movies, featuring original scores composed by the group. They believe cinema has its own distinct music genre and that each score presents an opportunity to dive into a unique musical and cinematic universe.

The quartet honors the aesthetic of each film, having explored cinematic genres as varied as slapstick, expressionism, social realism, historical, melodrama, swashbuckler, war, cartoon, and documentary. They've also performed their original scores for a variety of international films, accompanying not just French silent films but also American, German, Russian, and Chinese features.

With two violins, a viola, and a cello, our outstanding string quartet lets you experience a full range of emotions as they play alongside silent cinema masterpieces. The group avoids all modern technology, opting instead for the pure experience of hand-eye coordination, with the composer ensuring seamless synchronization of image and sound.
