This incredible performing artist is the sole performer and creator of this unique style of Japanese contemporary dance. Blending elements of traditional Japanese dance, modern Japanese dance, chakra vocals, live Japanese calligraphy art, and acting, she creates an intense and expressive theatrical show that has mesmerized audiences around the world.

Each of her delicately choreographed dances tells its own unique story and is performed to a soundtrack that includes Japanese Taiko, Japanese folk music known as Minyo, Shakuhachi the bamboo flute, and Shamisen the Japanese banjo. Cirque du Soleil artist Pierre Dubé, the composer behind Mystere, wrote the soundtrack. These shows are as enchanting to listen to as they are to watch.

From high-energy, high-impact performances with dramatic Japanese-inspired dance and theatrical use of props, to more melodic, slower-paced performances, our Japanese dancer can tailor her act to match the tone of any event. Whether you need a loud, attention-grabbing performance for an after-dinner show or a large-scale event, or something more subtle to entertain at a reception or gallery show, she has you covered.

During her contemporary Japanese dance shows, our performer wears a variety of traditional Japanese clothing, including a Kimono and Japanese Geta Sandals, as well as props like a Sensu (fan), Kasa (umbrella), and Katana (sword). Striking a dramatic figure on stage, she further enhances this visual aesthetic with Japanese calligraphy paintings using Japanese Kanji based on the four elements: Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire.

She has performed her unique Japanese-inspired dance at a variety of events around the world, including the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles, Southern California Nisei Week Festival, SoCal Cherry Blossom Festival, San Diego Japan Day, and events in Lithuania and India.
