The act involves a volunteer from the audience who comes onstage, selects a card from the deck during a riffle without revealing which one it is. The magician cannot possibly know which card it is because he can't see the deck, and the audience member doesn’t say or even touch it!

The audience member is then given a surface to wear for the knife to penetrate and handed the deck of cards. Standing at an impressive distance, the knife-thrower instructs the volunteer to throw the deck of cards into the air. As the volunteer does so, the knife-thrower throws his knife at the volunteer. On its trajectory, the audience watches it puncture a card mid-air and stick into the protective surface on the volunteer’s stomach.

Incredibly, the card that has been pierced is the one selected by the audience member.

Several elements make this trick astonishing. Firstly, it is clearly not an illusion, as you can see the flight of the knife and its contact with the card in the air. Secondly, the greater the distance between the knife-thrower and the volunteer, the more impressive it is (something to consider when booking this act!).
