Malaysia Jazz Ensemble

Taking inspiration from various aspects of modern life and influenced by Malaysian and other Asian cultures, our Malaysia Jazz Ensemble delivers a diverse musical experience that transcends genres and classifications.

Since their formation in 2006, the band has grown and spread their music across Malaysia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Macao. On one notable tour, the jazz ensemble journeyed through 18 cities in a month, using various transportation methods and performing in a wide range of venues.

The current lineup includes the bandleader/composer/arranger/music director/pianist, bassist, drummer, and saxophonist. They are one of the busiest groups in the Malaysian performance scene, highly sought after for Hi-Fi recordings and live gigs. This jazz ensemble was nominated 10 times at the Kakiseni-Boh Cameronian Arts Awards in 2016 and won three awards.

Our outstanding Malaysia Jazz Ensemble has collaborated with renowned Malaysian and international artists such as Janet Lee, Lydia Chew, Winnie Ho, Yang Wei Han, Michael Simon, and more.

In addition to performing with international singers, our jazz musicians have been invited to participate in numerous festivals, including the Taichung Jazz Festival, Kota Kinabalu Jazz Festival, Phuket International Jazz Festival, UCSI International Jazz Fest, Tianjin International Jazz Fest, and many others.

Performing throughout Malaysia, our jazz musicians are a favorite among fans, perfect for setting the right ambiance and delivering live event music.
