Hong Kong's longest-established jazz/swing band has been playing together for more than 40 years, having started in the early '70s at the iconic Godown in Central, then Hong Kong’s top live jazz venue.
As Hong Kong's top swing band, they have supported leading international jazz stars at The Hong Kong Jazz Festival and have also appeared at the Kobe, Osaka, and Macau Jazz Festivals. The band has regularly appeared at Cafe Deco on The Peak, the original Jazz Club in Lan Kwai Fong, and the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre. They've also frequently performed at Government House at the Consular Corps Ball and other formal functions.
The jazz band often performs at private events like balls, dinners, weddings, private parties, corporate functions, and jazz festivals in Hong Kong and around the region, including Macau, China, and Japan. They regularly play at hotels, clubs, and bars/restaurants.
The band consists of band leader John (trumpet/vocals), Bayani (alto sax/clarinet), Oliver (tenor sax/clarinet), Franco (tenor sax/clarinet), Peter (piano), Ken (guitar), Steve (bass), and Tom (drums). The members come from England, Scotland, USA, France, Italy, and Japan.
