Mixing the sounds of Afro-beat, Soul, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Reggae, RnB, Hip Hop, and modern improvisational styles, Jazz Band Uganda blends various cultural influences and languages into their performances.

Based in Kampala, the group combines soulful vocals, captivating rhythms, instrumental solos, percussion, and tongue-twisting freestyle rap into an accessible Afro-beat style that became popular in Africa in the 1970s.

Collectively, the band has over 10 years of experience performing live at corporate events, dinners, private parties, festivals, and more. The band is highly adaptable and can cover songs in English, Arabic, and various Bantu languages such as Swahili and Rutoro.
