Meet Chef Yan! Martin Yan has hosted food/travel TV shows for over 30 years and published more than 30 cookbooks, including Martin Yan’s Feast, Martin Yan’s Chinatown Cooking, Martin Yan’s Quick & Easy, and Martin Yan’s China. During the pandemic, Chef Yan has organized numerous virtual events that are both educational and entertaining for charities and corporate clients, including big names like Google.

Born in Guangzhou, China, into a restaurant and grocery family, Chef Yan developed a passion for cooking early on as an apprentice at a popular restaurant in Hong Kong. He further honed his skills at the Overseas Institute of Cookery in Hong Kong and later in the USA, where he also discovered a talent for teaching as a chef-instructor. In 1978, he launched the now-classic Yan Can Cook series, blending cooking lessons with his unique humor and expertise.
