Violinist Clarissa
Clarissa is a former Indonesian child violinist who has clocked a new world record for "World's Fastest Violinist" (Fastest Violin Player in the World) by playing the song Flight of the Bumblebee on acoustic violin in 49,42 seconds (273 bpm) at Hall Yamaha Music Centre, Jakarta, June 15th 2013. The recording of this record was witnessed by the public, and witnessed by juries and is published in the Record Holders Republic (Registry of Official World Records).
A brilliant and talented Violinist, Clarissa has released two solo violin albums and won a prestigious award (AMI Award – Indonesian Academy Music Award) for Best World Music / Instrumental Artist when she was 9 years old.
Since her rise to the spotlight, she has relocated to the United States, where she graduated from the University of North Texas in violin performance in 2022. She is now in Atlanta, Georgia, pursuing a master's degree in violin performance with graduate assistantship.
