Embark on a food tour whilst taking in the sights of the city from Amsterdam’s world heritage canals on board an antique wooden boat. The unique method of travel combined with some typically Dutch delicacies are what make this tour a great option to impress your VIP guests.  Groups will experience the delights of the Jordaan District, including a real Jordaan cafe in a converted canal house, sample authentic dishes ranging from gouda cheese and bitterballen to Amsterdam’s finest smoked sausage. Witness Dutch hospitality at it’s finest, eat herring the Amsterdam way and sample the sheer variety of traditional Dutch candies, desserts and pastries. Wash the array of flavours down with bubbles and beer! 

Our 4-hour Food and Canals Tour will make a most memorable experience for your corporate incentive trip or company rewards day. It will include a guided walk through the unique and historical sights of the Jordaan neighbourhood followed by an hour long private boat trip through Amsterdam’s famous canals. There will be a focus on food in the form of a dozen delicious Dutch tastings from plenty of authentic food stops along the way!

The Jordaan is one of the most historic neighbourhoods in Amsterdam, your guided tour will explain the history of the District along with interesting facts such as why Cafe Papeneiland  has been in business for almost 400 years! See where Anne Frank famously lived during the Second World War, find hidden churches and discover what used to be in the Jordaan area hundreds of years ago. There is also an interactive element to the tour, taking your groups behind the scenes, to meet the families keeping Dutch food traditions alive.

• Includes a 3 hour walking tour 

Walking Tour 

• The walking tour has a capacity for a maximum of 12 people
• Capacity for a maximum of 12 people
• Four hour walking tour

Practical tips

• Comfortable walking footwear recommended for both tours
• Waterproofs recommended as your group will be outside for a lot of the tour
• Recommended to bring water if the weather is warm
• Both tour options stop at unique local eateries in the Jordaan Distict, a most popular destination for a diverse range of cuisine. 
• Both tour options offer information about the culture and history of the Jordaan District, with an added interactive element taking your group behind the scenes, to the families keeping Dutch food traditions alive. 
• Stories of foods and drinks that have a special history behind them will be explained throughout the guided tour
