Jazz Singer Elva

Chinese singer-songwriter Elva has for many years been working as a professional singer in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Shanghai. A very natural and colourful vocalist she brings the emotions straight to your heart. Elva's voice is sweet, pure, attractive, powerful and full of magnetism and emotion. When the famous chanson-singer from Berlin, Cora Frost, heard her voice the first time, she said: “This is very beautiful! It is relaxing! Very nice. I want the cd.”

Elva is a real outstanding talent. In 2012 in Switzerland she met the famous jazz pianist and composer David Ruosch. He had a lot of experience in working with singers and writing songs and he recognised soon the potential of this young Chinese lady. A fruitful partnership was born. You can hear the result on their new Album “Songs From Far Away”. Produced and written by these two thoroughbred musicians.

This versatile and miltilingual singer can perform in either Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) French, Spanish, English and German, which makes her the perfect live music entertainment option for events with international guests. On top of that, she's also a talented composer: one of her songs was selected as a semi-finalist in the 2017 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). The competition received more than 16,000 entries, and semi-finalists make up only 11% of all entries!

Elva has been a resident jazz singer in five-star’s hotels in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, such as: Marco Polo, The Ritz-Carlton, Holiday Inn East, Shangri-La hotel and the Intercontinental Shenzhen Galleon Bar. Besides jazz songs Elva can also sing other styles of music including: Latin, Bossa nova, Pop, R&B and Soul.
