Matt Brierley - Filmmaker
An award-winning wildlife filmmaker and director, Matt Brierley has collaborated on many high-profile projects for the BBC including The Earthshot Prize and Davide Attenborough's Wild Isles, Attenborough and the Giant Dinosaur, Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II. Additionally, he has produced for Nat Geo, Disney, PBS and NBCUniversal's Surviving Earth.
Matt is an expert on both prehistoric and modern-day natural history and is an accomplished wildlife filmmaker. His recent award-winning film was a collaboration with Mayor Sadiq Khan, and followed the release of the UK's most urban beavers, while his film Sharks: In Deep Water, encouraged change in shark conservation law in the UK.
Matt has a natural flair for presenting and engaging audiences and is a versatile presenter. He has hosted OceanFest and SharkFest, as well as taking a sell-out nature-themed comedy show to the Edinburgh Festival. As an award-winning nature writer, Matt is regularly featured in Landscape Magazine, Birdwatching Magazine and BBC Wildlife, as well as being the in-house nature writer for The Cotswold Lion.
Matt's passion for storytelling and engaging guests is exceeded only by his knowledge of the natural environment and conversation. A popular choice for keynote speeches and workshops, Matt also regularly hosts whale and dolphin cruises for ORCA.
