Arabic Band Stockholm

Formed in 2008 our Stockholm based Arabic Band are an award winning ensemble consisting of some of Sweden’s most highly skilled and well established musicians from the folk and world music scenes.

Led by the charismatic Iraqi Egyptian singer Nadin, who fled war in Iraq to Sweden in 2001, the band’s music and lyrics narrate her journey of survival, exile, life and rebirth.

Travelling all over the world, the Arabic Band have shared their original compositions with audiences in Baghdad, Cairo, Paris, Sweden and many more places. Their music is largely influenced by other musical styles including; Middle eastern and Nordic Folk and Traditional music, Jazz, Persian and Latin, resulting in the band’s own original sound.

Combining a unique groove and sweetness, the talented ensemble were nominated and awarded 2014’s “Best Crossover Act” at the “Swedish World Music Awards.”
