Funk Jazz Band Rome

Performing Funk Jazz and Soul at its best, this Rome based band are a small, but powerful ensemble producing the sounds that have characterised a genre well known and appreciated.

The group's repertoire ranges from Incognito, Brand New Heavies, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott all to create a mix of Acid Jazz, Funk, and Soul in a groove that has been their trademark. At first glance, there is nothing extraordinary about their line up...bass, drums, keys, guitar, vocals…but their sound is undeniably fresh and exciting.

Funk Jazz Band Rome have played in some of the most well-known clubs in the Italian capital and has been one of the first groups to bring acid jazz to Rome's music scene with vigour, energy, and most of all groove.

What's the secret? Could it be the drummer who has travelled and played with some of the most famous Italian artists, the guitarist and bass player who have years of experience and a love of funk music, the pianist with years of experience and a Neopolitan background, or the singer, who started singing gospel at age 5. Whatever it is...it’s working!
