Gamelan Orchestra

This unique ethnic performance group from London offer traditional Indonesian and Sudanese musical entertainment performed using an authentic gamelan ensemble from Indonesian.

The gamelan ensemble consists primarily of bronze or brass instruments including gongs, gong kettles, metallophones as well as xylophones, drums, fiddles and flutes. Intrinsically beautiful, the music combines very simple elements to create intricate textures that are a feast for the ears.

The group have performed at venues across the UK to audiences large and small including The Royal Festival Hall, at the Indonesian Ambassador’s Residence, The Royal College of Music, The Royal Academy of Music and several prestigious universities.

Directed by an experienced musician who has been playing gamelan for over 30 years and who spend 12 years in Indonesia studying music, this gamelan orchestra is the perfect addition for cultural events and festivals, themed events and more.
