Jazz and Party Band

This London based band perform jazz standards, soul music and pop classics as a flexible 2-6 piece band and are available for any event.

They are privileged to count Sir Paul McCartney among their many high profile clients. He personally chose them to provide the entertainment for his music publishing company's Christmas party - and liked the band so much that he jumped on stage and sang 3 Beatles classics with them!

The band also featured in the recent film "Brideshead Revisited" (starring Emma Thompson and Michael Gambon), played at the Sports Industry Awards (attended by the likes of David & Victoria Beckham), and for three years running they have flown out to Hong Kong to perform at the world famous 5* Intercontinental Hotel's New Year's Eve celebrations.

From background jazz with or without vocals to a funky six-piece band featuring soul and pop classics, this band can create a sophisticated atmosphere for your function or really get the party started on the dance floor – and they can do it all in the same evening!

The Music

The band have a large repertoire of songs and styles, and can tailor the set list to suit your event.

On a typical evening their singer might open with a jazz set including such favourites as Fly Me To The Moon, My Baby Just Cares For Me, Come Fly With Me, It Had To Be You, Girl From Ipanema and Summertime.

Once they have got you in the mood they will shift up a gear with pop and soul classics Dock of The Bay, Son of A Preacher Man and Easy, before really getting the party going with dance floor fillers like Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl, Play That Funky Music, Billie Jean, Superstition and songs from Beyonce, the Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Queen, Chaka Khan and James Brown.

From jazz and swing, to soul and funk, rock and roll to contemporary chart pop, this band can do it all, and they will emphasise the styles and songs that work best for you and your guests.

Background Music
For a laid back sophisticated mood to accompany dinner or drinks, their vocal repertoire includes jazz and bossa nova standards made famous by Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald and Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as the easy listening songs of artists such as Norah Jones.

If you don’t require a singer, their instrumental groups play jazz standards, smooth jazz grooves, Latin music and classic ballads to create the perfect atmosphere for your event. You can request a duo, trio or quartet led by the saxophone or piano. They can also provide solo cocktail piano.

And if you can’t decide whether you want background music or party music - you can have both! A jazz quartet during cocktails or dinner, followed by the full band plus singer to get the dance floor packed in the evening - no problem.
