Azerbaijan Folk Band

Our brilliant Azerbaijan Folk Band performs almost exclusively their style of the Mugham, the region’s traditional indigenous music. They use only the most traditional instruments such as the tar, bowed kamanche, naghara drum and dayereh for a truly authentic performance and a very genuine live music experience. 

Your guests are able to receive a true Middle Eastern music experience at the hand of our Azerbaijan Folk Band. As their traditional instrumentation is acoustic, they can perform with almost no amplification. This means that the Azerbaijani band is able to set up in a variety of locations from concert halls to lobbies, event stages to outdoor occasions with no staging at all.   

The Azerbaijani band’s leader is formally trained in the Mugham and champions his cultural heritage through the band’s live music. They are the perfect choice for clients seeking authentic live Middle Eastern music. The band has performed its traditional Azerbaijan folk for all types of events at locations all over the world and can easily travel from their hometown of Baku.

The Azerbaijan Folk Band has provided their Middle Eastern music at academic events, traditional celebrations, private parties and on TV and radio broadcasts in Azerbaijan. They have also been invited, twice, to perform at a prestigious American SXSW festival receiving critical acclaim for their Arabic-tinged live music.
