Japanese Taiko Denver
Founded in 1990 by two professional Taiko drummers who had previously performed with internationally recognised groups such as Ondekoza, Japanese Taiko Denver offer authentic Taiko drumming that will create a high-energy atmosphere at any event.
Able to create special performances that have been individually tailored to suit each clients’ needs in terms of duration, size and style, these Taiko drummers can create thunderous performances perfect for energising corporate audiences and exciting guests at cultural showcases - and everything in between. They have previously performed at events for Microsoft, Kawasaki, Delta Airlines, Sony and Hewlett Packard and when not based in Denver they are touring across the USA performing at various events and venues.
Performing traditional Japanese Taiko as well as their own original compositions, which feature a blend of contemporary, traditional and world music stylings, the group perform using a variety of traditional Japanese drums including odaiko (large), chudaiko (medium), shimedaiko (small) and incorporate the use of the bamboo flute known as a shinobue.
Performing their repertoire of rhythmic grooves and heart-pounding beats, their creative arrangements and choreography complete the performance and make for a dynamic and high-energy show that is sure to leave a lasting impact on any audience.
