Jazz Trumpet Player

Ray is solo trumpeter with over 20 years of professional experience in the music industry.

Influenced by jazz greats such as Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington, Ray started playing piano at the age of 7, cornet at 8 and progressed on to the trumpet at age 16. Taking his professional studies to Kingston University and the Royal Academy of Music, he has since had a hugely successful career. He has played for Princess Diana, worked for the likes of Robbie Williams and Beverly Knight, and recorded on Chris Tomlin’s Grammy nominated album ‘Burning Lights’ for the song ‘God’s Great Dancefloor’.

Having also held long-term residences in UK nightclubs, including Chameleon Bar in Birmingham, he is a versatile performer that can adapt his style to suit a wide range of situations. Whether performing smooth jazz classics solo at a sophisticated dinner, or providing high-energy sax depth to a DJ set in a high-end nightclub, Ray provides exciting entertainment that will capture the imaginations of his audience.
