Chinese people have been playing drums in celebrations for thousand of years. Traditional Chinese drum is often painted with the colour red which associates with power and good luck in Chinese culture.
Theses Traditional Chinese Drummers present a very unique performance which combines drum playing with traditional Chinese dancing and Bian Lian (aka “Face-Changing”, an ancient Chinese dramatic art that is part of the more general Sichuan opera). The all female drumming group was founded in 2008 and have performed on many celebratory occasions in Mainland China, Macau and Hong Kong.
